JAGUAR XF

jaguar_xf_2009Jaguar’s replacement for the S-Type sedan will be a test of the marketing ability of new owner Tata Motors, which bought the model in 2008 from Ford Motor Company. Designed under Ford management, the XF has gotten positive reviews. It features new styling, a stiffer platform, suspension pieces from the XK and much improved handling. Standard is a 300-hp 4.2-liter V-8, while optional supercharging brings a 420-hp rating and sub-5 second 0-60 capability. Inside, the word new is again in abundance with new instrumentation, luxury appointments and a general ambience aimed at the younger driver, something Jaguar would like to extend its appeal to. XF has been available since last March after Chicago Auto Show visitors got a preview at the 2008 event.
